first dinosaur egg

Zaiid wanted to have a dinosaur egg just like Sid's from the movie Ice Age III. So we hard-boiled an egg and drew a face. He was so thrilled to have one of his own. He made it sit, lie down, or say some funny movie lines to it. But then he accidentally broke it. "Sorry, egg. It's ok... na...na..." He was so cute and he was so sincere that it broke my heart into bits. I remember how he loved my eggbelly and now he's actually loving a real egg. Sweet.

Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo

You can just imagine how stunned we are at the very sight of the Dubai Aquarium, the biggest glass walkthrough tunnel aquarium in the world. We got up close with some of the most fascinating underwater animals on the planet including our favourite penguins and sharks!

We made two visits already. I don't think it's going to stop soon, it seems that my 3yo can't get enough of the place.

random happy photos

Blogging seems a bit harder these days but I feel a lot of guilt for not at least showing you some random happy photos from the boys.

So here they are :)

Kuya discovers the PlayStation

Akii loves shapes, colours...

books.. pillows...

and afternoon smiles.

The pudding boys happy in Dubai.

And finally, Auntie Nana arrives...

to give me help even for only two months.
Having her around makes my day lighter and for the boys the extra sweet fun.

Thank you and goodbye.

I remember as a child on a balcony of my Dadi's office, I was feeling proud waving my tiny "L" hand sign and throwing torn pages from the yellow telephone directory. At 6yo I knew that we are hopeful for our country and that it was because of one brave woman named Cory Aquino.

Today she rests in peace. Let's say a little prayer for her soul. Thank you Cory, we love you.

we're back!

Hello world, we're back!

It's now our second week in our sunny home in Dubai - all on our own - and I cannot complain a bit. The boys give out a big mess once in a while or an "I don't want to go to sleep" even if it's an "I'm very sleepy" written all over their faces. But it's always something that I can handle. God makes sure of that every single day.

I'm going to make this coming-back post short.

Just know that the trip went well and that we're settling just fine. Right now the boys take their afternoon nap while as I write this, munching almonds and cashews, enjoying my new full-time mother life.

birthday souvenir rocks

I have less than a week to complete my boy's 3rd birthday giveaways. So far, so good. I have completed most of the goodies: tiny toy cars, glow-in-the dark numbers and letters, and the doodled souvenir rocks. Thanks to the super ninang Tingbats and her daughter, who joyfully picked up the rocks for us from their Owa's garden. You guys rock! (haha.)

The sticker didn't come out well so I had to redo the design. Here's the final one. I took out Zaiid's photo because he looked too pale and you can't really read the words. See old design here.

I am now down to a smaller checklist. I need to order the cake within this week. I found a nice little cake shop in Parkmall that sells small cakes at 100 each with an edible letter planted as a topping. I plan to order Z-A-I-I-D and another extra for the number 3 with 3candle sticks beside it. I think he will love it.

i love the way we are.

Nothing huge has changed. Really. We still laugh at our own jokes, get annoyed by our old habits, make faces, get messy, talk about our big dreams, make eachother cry sometimes.

The biggest change I could think of is him being the father of my sweet boys. He has transformed into a real grownup, responsible, and a very playful father that he is. With that, I realize that I am more than blessed to have known him in college, played in a band with him, loved and married him.

I love you hon. Happy Father's Day :)
