high on OGILVY yeah!

10:00 am, sheikh zayed road. al attar building. shoot, we got off from the wrong building. "after two buildings, that's it" feet swelling. I. DON'T. WEAR. HEELS. face sweating.

24th floor. kayasa. nindotaaaaa!!! and there's the big name. "hulata lang ko sa silong tambol." "cge hon. shucks"

"hi. good morning. im here for a job interview..." "please take a seat."

"govinda? hi. im robin. please come in. this is the creative team"

the place is like the real thing. papers everywhere, toys, vandals on walls, weird looking people... it smelled like..THE ad agency.

and robin was soooo cool. but a dad kinda cool. he was the creative director. and a guy came in. guy, the art head. and we just talked about my site, and my works, and everything else just melted into a great big creative paradise... i can't believe im sitting right next to these guys, talking about tori amos, and laughing about "it's just photoshop" (referring to tori amos and me pic). i think they like me. heheh. "are you seeing others?" like.. uh.. oh they meant other agencies. i said they are my first :)

BUT. they aren't hiring. so. they'd call me if something comes up :) ok ra dili madawat; hearing those words coming from the big guys is more than enough :)

im just soooo high i can't even complain about my swollen little foot-pinkie. pag abot namo sa flat, ga tiniil jud ko gikan sa pultahan padung elevator hantud naabot sa among door, where my little Taputingking greet us with his smile. haaaaaaay samot ka high ang govinda...

zaiid laughs like the way she makes him. they really did miss each other's company. after all, she's his yaya!

i need to act fast on my website revamp and start the dreamjob-hunting! whoooopieeeee!

dwynn's getting his gym life back - - ang kalipay nga nabyaan.

COMBINATIONS: eisley's new music!

it's like a combination of Carnivale (tv series) and everything basic. a combination of random thoughts and hopeful tomorrows. a combination of make-believe and materialism. our favorite baby-band (innocent in that sense) has come to greet us a new place, right where my zaiid turns one year old, a new eisley music comes.

zaiid and i will be making new dance steps for the new harmonies and lyrics heheh! :)

the science of sleep

- - - - - - -
for those of us who dream vividly :)
- - - - - - -
Synopsis

The Science of Sleep," a playful romantic fantasy set inside the topsy-turvy brain of Stephane Miroux (Gael Garcia Bernal) an eccentric young man whose dreams constantly invade his waking life.

While slumbering, he is the charismatic host of "Stephane TV," expounding on "The Science of Sleep" in front of cardboard cameras. In "real life," he has a boring job at a Parisian calendar publisher and pines for Stephanie (Charlotte Gainsbourg), the girl in the apartment across the hall. While Stephanie is initially charmed by Stephane, she is confused by his childishness and shaky connection to reality. Stephanes co-worker, Guy (Alain Chabat) a vulgar but practical man, offers advice on the opposite sex, but Stephane is too far in the clouds to listen. Unable to find the secret to Stephanies heart while awake, Stephane searches for the answer in his dreams.

a friendly tip: don't tell your dream people/characters that they're just in your dream and that they are not real. believe me, magkagubot jud :)

it's just that you can't do anything perfectly.

i was frustrated again. on how we are becoming really uncomfortable with the dancing. but i need to make him sleep and dream. i was frustrated and tired. but i had enough love. i made him sleep and dream.

my frustration (or Basquiat-inspired erik who came up to me) led me to remember her again and be moved by her thoughts -- on raising up children.

Agnes Martin: It's just that you can't do anything perfectly. Anything. You can't bring up children perfectly.

Joan Simon: Your grandfather, with whom you lived for a time as a youngster, sounds like an exception.

AM: He tried to be a good man. He believed in not interfering with children. He didn't talk to them. But you knew that he liked you. He never criticized or made suggestions. You led a free life.

JS: Did he lead by his example? By what he did in his life?

AM: No. As a matter of fact, my grandfather believed that God looked after children. And that it was none of his business. Anyway, it made for a good life, I can tell you. Freedom.

JS: Freedom, as a kid, to do what?

AM: Freedom from criticism, from suggestions. That really made for freedom. I mean he didn't even correct little children. He believed in children expressing their own potential.

JS: Was your mother like your grandfather?

AM: Yes, my mother followed his example. Anyone looking on would have thought she was indifferent. But she really believed in noninterference.

JS: She also supported the family.

AM: She redid houses and sold them. She brought up four children, although she was small.

that line hit me: "although she was small". and now, i'll be fine. :)
