Rhaya becomes a TWOdler!

hurray for hopes

We took my baby for his work up last friday due to his recurring UTI. I was nervous for him to get an ultrasound although I know it wouldn't hurt a tiny bit. I did not know what to expect but deep down I was hopeful. I know it's going to be alright. 

Today was an extra special day for us. We went to Sto. Nino church and gave our big "thank you!" for my baby's little miracle. The tests confirmed that he was ok - that his kidneys and bladder were good. The plan was just to drink lots of water, no more dipees, monthly urine analysis. And if - God forbid - UTI round 3 should come, he should be circumcised. For now, all's good and we continue to pray for his health and total healing. We love you Akii.

I love this idea! It's my godchild, Zoe's baptism giveaways. I'm not really surprised that Zie would come up with this kind of creative sweet. She's always been way up there when it comes to unique gift ideas. Now that she's got little baby Zoe, I'm sure we can expect more of these. Welcome to motherhood Zie! Doulos comes back

I was totally psyched to know that Doulos is coming back to Cebu. I can't miss this, not with my little bookworm. When my 2.6yo saw the big boat for the first time, he just gave out a silent "boo..." as if in trance. This floating book fair still has that magic vibe that embraces you the minute you hop onboard. 

We bought books and of course we wouln't miss out anything that spells out cars. I'm surprised to see Zaiid drawn into books that has more "words" or information rather than those which has big bold pictures and short phrases only. I think my baby has moved a step up even if he can't read a word. What can I say, we love books!

At least the bangs would do the trick. I decided I needed something exciting so I cut it myself and tadaaa! Now I looked... new (?). Hmm I'm not really sure what word fits well so. We'll see when boredom atacks again. 

get well, my sunshine.

My 4mo has UTI - the second time now. I can't believe that after about 3 weeks from his first, he's getting it again. Our doctor adviced me to get him a urine culture so we'd know what kind of bacteria is present and so we'd know how to combat it. I didn't want to blog about my baby's situation because everytime I start to write, like right now, I end up getting depressed and helpless. How can he be sick? I must've missed a line in taking care of him... 

A week from now, we will do more tests on him to be sure there's nothing wrong with his kidneys or whatever parts that needs to be checked. Everyday I'm nervous. I don't want him to go through any pain or any test that could stress him. He only weighs 5.1 kilos at 4months, a very fragile little sunshine.

I don't want to make a big deal out of it and I am trying so hard to stay positive. And that at least he's just getting a UTI and not some kind of blood infection like his brother once had. Of course I made sure he wouldn't have that same infection - Akii's got the IPD vaccine this month. And in my perfect imagination, I thought that our BabyManghud is safe from any harm. But still...this. 

I can only sigh and pray. For now, we wait. We need your prayers...

it's an Amy Butler design!

I got this chic huggable bag from a friend last Christmas. I loved it the minute I saw the fabric's design. It was just until now that I found out that this is actually an amy butler fabric! I was browsing through her website and from a little patch I found a very familiar orange-y lovely design. Truly it was the same fabric from my bag! Weee I can't help but show it off! Have a look:
