The legendary old school rock n' roll band Scorpions will perform tomorrow night at Dubai Festival City. Together with the Aircrew team, we went to their Press Conference late this afternoon.Yes, they were a bit old to be rockin' out but hey, they are Scorpions! Their lead man, Klaus was all-smile and doesn't possess that typical rockstar attitude - well at least to our experience - he was kind enough to stay for us to take pictures with him.
He sang one famous line: "Here I am, rock you like a hurricane!" His sort of teaser for the coming concert tomorrow.At the end of the conference, we got our Press Pass ID! Whohooo! :D And look who wants to go to the concert. Hahah! Sorry babylove, no toddlers allowed :)
Hey there, lucky you ; ) I was planning to come to the press conference, but had to stay at the office for some boring work! I personally believe that the timing for holding this press conference was not appropriate (I was hoping it would be held a little bit later!!). Anyway, I was lucky enough to meet with Klaus Meine in Hannover (Scorpions' home-town) in August 2004. In fact I've interviewed him for a radio station I used to work with at that time. I still remember when he spoke about Scorpions' plan to play in Dubai for the very first time! I really look forward to their concert : )

i never made it to the concert last night. with my pregnancy going on, i was too sleepy to get up! but at least i met them at the conference :) i agree, the timing was a bit odd and we had to wait for an hour for them to arrive. still, it was amazing seeing them in person :)
